Still waiting...

18 hour transit on New Year's. I have a 4000 word dissertation due next week and I'm... posting on my blog instead, oops. I really miss the comfort of my home and my bed. I miss my friends, wearing jumpers, watching TV, and playing guitar. I've had a lovely holiday though. I never expected to meet my old friends but I did. Many photos and videos to upload but my assignments are my top priority as soon as I get back.

Bismillah, hello 2013

Thank You Allah for my family and my friends. Thank You for my sight, my hearing and my voice. Thank You for giving me the chance to have an education and the chance to keep on living so that I can become better and obey You and only You. Thank You for the life You have given me and thank You for always being there and also for Your constant forgiveness.

If I had to list everything that I'm thankful for, I will still be typing until my very last breath in this world.

A friend in need

I'm not usually in uni on a Friday but a friend asked me to help her out with some work. It must be difficult to study in another country where you have trouble understanding the language. Yanjia is a talented girl but I think she has problems knowing what she wants. I want to show her that although this course may not be what she wants to do in the future, she should see it as an oppurtunity to expand into other areas of the design industry. Fighting!

And thanks Yanjia for treating me to costa... even though coffee makes me sleepy~~~

I finally submitted / got rid of 352 DVA

Although it was submission day today, this is what a typical day in the studio looks like.
It's very normal for design students to own a macbook. It's strange if you don't.

A photo of me and Jade in front of our building! We actually wanted celebrate our submission and go to the Noodle Bar but we Sophie didn't show up so Jade treated me to a sandwich! This time next year, we will be dressing up for graduation...

Then we went to the library. I took out my notebook and found it to be ruined :( Oh dear.

After that, I spent the rest of the day being a sleepy head...

Help

My deadline is on Tuesday but I'm doing everything to avoid doing my work. I am painting mini tea cups and plates right now. Whyyyy? I hate being like this. I am wasting time. 19 days until I go back. Wait for me, Malaysia...

Wakey wakey!

I woke up this morning and this was the first thing I saw. It's cute but somewhat creepy and definitely not the first time I've caught her watching me sleep. Sometimes, I wake up and she's stroking my face...

Surprise!

It was Nadh's birthday a few days ago and Kak Qist planned a surprise birthday party. I remember this time last year, I just met them and we surprised her with a small (shop-bought) cake. I guess this year, she deserved something bigger. It's her last year here after all but may good things keep coming her way, even after she leaves.

Awatif and I were invited to a dinner at the Nasser's where they cooked us some lovely Korean treats! They were awesome hosts and they should be expecting me around their place more often now! Rayyan, Hidayah and Khadijah, if you're reading this, thank you!

Multi-tasking

My assignment deadline is next week and my work is still incomplete. So here I am in Zeenat doing my work while I wait for my food to arrive. The food tasted good and I managed to complete one drawing!

Autumn Fe(et)ver!

So all I've been seeing in my Facebook newsfeed lately are photos and more photos of leaves and people's feet with leaves and poses in front of vibrant coloured trees and I feel so guilty because autumn in my favourite season. It's so beautiful! So today, I went on a little photo walk and took a picture of my feet with leaves.
